Ernesto Fiocchetto is an advisor with Pan-American Strategic Advisors. Fiocchetto has a PhD in International Relations (2024), a Master’s in Religious Studies (2019), a Master’s in International Studies (2021), and a Graduate Certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies (2023) from Florida International University (2024) and a degree in Sociology (2017) from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina.

Fiocchetto has conducted extensive research on the governance of forced migration, analyzing the role of non-state actors and faith-based organizations in the reception and integration of Latin American asylum seekers in North America and the European Union. He also examines transnational and domestic policies, as well as best/worst practices taken by civil society. He deepens his analysis through critical interdisciplinary approaches to examine topics such as human trafficking, migrant smuggling, queer migration, the intersection of religion and politics, and gender and sexualities in the Americas.

Fiocchetto has collaborated with Comillas University in Madrid and consulted for the Organization of American States’ (OAS) Department Against Transnational Organized Crime (DTOC) on topics related to human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
