Adam Ratzlaff

Founder & CEO

Adam Ratzlaff is the founder and CEO of Pan-American Strategic Advisors and a member of The Expert Network (TEN) for Diplomatic Courier’s World in 2050.

With over a decade of experience conducting research on regional affairs, Ratzlaff has consulted for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the U.S. Department of State and worked with various organizations on analyzing Inter-American affairs. He also regularly engages with stakeholders on Inter‑American affairs in the public, private, and non‑profit sector to provide policy recommendations and analysis.

 

Connecting deep understanding of regional dynamics with policy and academic experience, Adam’s research has largely focused on analyses of different visions of Pan Americanism, Inter-American organizations, U.S.-Latin American foreign policy, the regional defense of democracy, inclusive development in the Americas, and Sino-Latin American relations.  Ratzlaff is the author or co-author of over 150 public-facing analyses, reports, and academic works on topics related to regional affairs. His public analyses have been featured in Foreign Policy, Diplomatic Courier, Global Americans, The National Interest, Inkstick, Responsible Statecraft, and West Point’s Modern War Institute, among other sites, while his academic work has been featured in The International Journal of Cultural Policy, Paterson Review of International Affairs, Journal of International Policy Solutions, and Tufts University’s Hemispheres. He has also authored reports for the Inter-American Development Bank, Global Americans, and the Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy. In addition to his publications, Ratzlaff is regularly quoted and interviewed by national and international news outlets, including with ABC News, BBC Mundo (UK), Deutsche Welle (Germany), El Diario (Spain), La Nacion (Argentina), Nearshore Americas, and The Christian Post


Ratzlaff holds graduate degrees from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies (University of Denver)—which he attended as a Sié Fellow—and the Steven J. Green School for International and Public Affairs (Florida International University) as well as a BA from Tulane University, where he triple-majored in international relations, economics, and Latin American studies.
