Alejandra Franganillo Díaz is an associate with Pan-American Advisors focusing on Cuba and regional political dynamics. Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, Alejandra combines strong analytical and research skills with a deep commitment to advancing U.S. national security priorities in Latin America. Alejandra’s perspective is shaped by her time living in Chile, as well as her Puerto Rican and Cuban heritage. She has extensive experience analyzing Cuban affairs and conducted studies on the evolving role of the private sector in Cuba, incorporating conversations with Cuban government officials and on-the-ground insights from Havana, including with the U.S. Embassy. Her work analyzes the intersection of economic reform, regime stability, and U.S. national security interests.
In addition to her analytic work, Alejandra engaged in legislative and stakeholder engagement, including advocating for international exchange and public diplomacy initiatives through Fulbright programming. She holds a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida International University (FIU).
