Lucía González Camelo is an Advisor with Pan-American Strategic Advisors. Her policy research focuses on Latin American governance, institutional development, bilateral cooperation, and natural resource management. Prior to joining PASA, she worked with the Organization of American States’ Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD)—where she produced regional reports on drug trafficking and security—and at the Colombian Embassy in Switzerland. She also was a Research Associate at the States and Institutions of Governance in Latin America (SIGLA), where she led comparative legal research on institutional frameworks in Venezuela.
Lucía holds a Master’s in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Political Science from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. At Georgetown, she served on the board of the Latin America and the Caribbean Policy Association (LAPA). Her research interests include extractive industries, drug policy, and public investment.
